Smoked Sirloin Tip Roast on a Pellet Grill
Prepare the Sirloin Tip Roast for the Smoker
You may find a little fat, as well as a thin silver membrane, all over your sirloin tip roast. You’ll want to remove this with a sharp knife to ensure your dry rub can penetrate the meat. ¹ Don’t worry if you take slithers of meat with the membrane and fat.
Best Seasonings for Smoked Sirloin Tip Beef Roast
For this smoked sirloin tip roast recipe, you’ll be using a dry rub made up of the following:
- 1 1/4 kosher salt
- 2 coarse ground black pepper
- 1 1/4 granulated garlic
Mix the ingredients in a bowl and add to a shaker. We recommend using a funnel to keep the mess to a minimum. Store in your kitchen to use whenever you want.
After coating your beef with salt, pepper, and garlic mix, add a generous coating of Hardcore Carnivore Black seasoning.
You’ll want to tie your beef with rope – as this will help keep its shape during cooking and ensure an even cook. ² Once you’ve wrapped the rope under a couple of times, pull it tight and finish up your knot. Trim any excess rope. You’ll want to do a few ties along the length of your beef.
