Butter Braised Smoked Green Beans

Grilled vegetables are great, but smoked green beans are even better with a kiss of hardwood smoke. These smoky green beans go right alongside your smoked meats.

- 4 Lamb Shanks
- 1 tbs Salt
- 1 tbs Pepper
- 2 tbs Cooking Oil
- 1 Large Onion – coarsely chopped
- 1 Large Carrot – cut into thick slices
- 4 Garlic cloves finely minced
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 1 1/2 cup of broth
- 1 1/2 cup of wine

- Step 1: Preheat your Z Grills pellet smoker to 275°F.
- Step 2: Pour the melted butter over the beans. Using tongs, gently toss the beans with the butter until well coated.
- Step 3: Season the beans evenly, and liberally, with salt and pepper.
- Step 4: Add the beans to the smoker, and smoke for 3-4 hours, tossing them every 30 minutes- or until tender shriveled, and slightly browned in places.
