Batter

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp salt  
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup milk  

Cinnamon Filling

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour  
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Topping

  • 1 can apple pie filling
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter

Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Making the batter

Beat the butter and sugar until fluffy (about 2 minutes); add the eggs, vanilla extract, sour cream, salt, and baking powder and mix until smooth; gradually add the flour and milk, alternating between the two, and stop when there are no more dry particles.

Step 2: Pre the filling and topping

In bowl 1, mix the brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon powder; set aside;
In bowl 2, mix the flour, brown sugar, and melted butter, and shape into small granules; set aside.

Step 3: Assembling the dough

Grease the mold, then pour half of the batter into it; layer the apple filling and the cinnamon filling, then cover with the remaining batter; sprinkle the topping with the granules.

Step 4:Baking in the oven

Preheat the Z Grills particle oven to 350°F, place the mold in it, and bake for 45 minutes, checking with a toothpick to ensure there is no sticking; remove from the oven and let it cool.

Step 5:Drizzle and serve

Mix sugar, cream, and vanilla extract to make the sugar glaze; drizzle it over the cake, and it is best to eat it while it is warm.
