Smoked Taco Queso

This recipe is great for sharing with loved ones or enjoying as a tasty snack anytime. Using the Z Grills pellet grill adds a smoky flavor that enhances the taste of the queso, making it even more delicious to share with friends and family or enjoy as a snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 red onion chopped
  • 1 jalapeño (remove seeds and chop)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 32 oz Velveeta cheese
  • 8 oz of shredded taco blend cheese
  • 14.5 ounces of diced tomatoes (do not drain)
  • 1 – 12 oz can of evaporated milk

Instructions

                  • Step 1: Brown beef, drain.
                    • Step 2: Add taco seasoning and water, simmer for 10 min.
                    • Step 3: Saute onions and jalapeño.
                    • Step 4: Add all ingredients to aluminum pan and mix.
                    • Step 5: Preheat grill to 225°F, cooking for 30 min.
                    • Step 6: Place pan on grill, cook for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
                    • Step 7: Let cool a few minutes before serving.
