FRONT SHELF FOR 1000D4E/1000D/1000D3E/10002B/10002B2E

It is a front shelf

It is front shelf for the grill. Not a lot that can be said other than, you can not put much of anything on it with the lid of the grill closed, the handle covers most of the shelf. Works great after the lid is open to set a pan or platter on so you can remove what you are cooking from the grill.

Good first impression!

I have used to grill multiple times and each time it has held target temperature much better than my former pellet grill. Only really had one time where it struggled to fire up. I noticed that smoke was escaping from some areas around the grill hood. Contacted customer service and they sent out high temp grill tape and they had resolved most of the issues. I look forward to many more great cooks with this grill!

First run on a 1000D

Great first run. I am a real fire guy but a pellet grille can spoil you. I had to get the hang of the smoke tube. I am going to try running two smoke tubes next. I did see that cold smoke is very easy with a smoke tube and fish and cheese came out great. Biggest and best advantage is the fact that you don't need to watch your fire every hour. Bottom line, I love the Z grille so far!!

Shelf is very narrow especially as the lid handle extends over half of the shelf.

Great grill!

With the insulated blanket it hold temps so well!! Cooked 3 briskets in -7° and they were done right on time!
