Talk to a Human →A pellet grill is an all-in-one outdoor cooker — smoker, grill, and oven in one. It burns real hardwood pellets to give your food genuine wood-fired flavor, whether you're cooking low-and-slow or hot-and-fast. No propane, no charcoal, no lighter fluid.
Pellets drop from the hopper into the fire pot, where an igniter lights them. A fan pushes heat and smoke through the cooking chamber while the controller feeds in just enough pellets to hold your set temperature — typically within a few degrees, for hours. See how it works →
A pellet grill gives you the real wood flavor of charcoal with the push-button convenience of gas — and without the propane tank or the charcoal chimney. One grill does the work of eight: smoke, grill, bake, roast, sear, braise, BBQ, and char-grill — all with the same hopper of hardwood pellets.
Cooking for two to four? A 450–550 sq. in. grill is plenty. Feeding a crowd or meal-prepping all week? Go 700 sq. in. or more. Want a whole brisket and sides going at once? Look at 1,000+ sq. in. Not sure? Use our grill finder →
Yes. Pellet grills cook with indirect heat, so for a real steakhouse crust, throw a cast iron griddle or skillet on the grates and let it hit 500°F. You get a hard sear plus a wood-fired flavor you simply can't get off a gas grill.
Very well — current Z Grills models use a PID controller that reads the chamber temperature continuously and adjusts the pellet feed to hold your set point, typically within a few degrees for hours. That's why pellet grills are called set-it-and-forget-it: you pick a temperature, close the lid, and walk away.
It depends on temperature, weather, and how long you're cooking. As a rough guide:
Low-and-slow (225°F): about 0.5–1 lb per hour
Running hot (400°F+): about 2–4 lbs per hour
A standard 20 lb bag gets most people through several cooks.
Most people are cooking within an hour — no special tools needed, and all the hardware comes in the box. Before your first cook, run it at 350°F for 30–45 minutes to burn off any manufacturing oils. After that, you're good to go.
A pellet grill gives you clean, mild-to-medium wood-fired flavor — noticeably more smoke than a gas grill, but lighter and cleaner than charcoal or an offset stick burner. Pellet grills burn a hot, efficient fire, so you get real hardwood flavor without the heavy, acrid bite of a smoldering coal bed.
Under the upgrade peogram your Z Grills pellet grill comes with 5-year warranty coverage on the main body, lids, fan, cabinet, casters, power cord, meat probes, grates, warming racks, chimney stack, and hopper lid. Item fits what I wanted almost completely. I do wish the item came with the wifi grilling option. But grill is right size for my camper and has made some excellent food so far. Grill cover fits perfectly and made of durable materials.
It is a great fit and protects my smoker. I value being able to get an exact fit item even after having my smoker for several years.
I would love to say that I really like the cover but my package has yet to be delivered. FedEx has lost my package and delivered it to the wrong address and is failing at every attempt to locate the lost package. I have opened a case with them and trying to resolve the issue but so far no luck.
Quality grill that gets used quite frequently … works great , easy to clean and keep like new 👍
I've had my ZGRILL for five years, the best
Quality
Installs easy and works great
Smoked ribs on my 1st smoke. Loved the fact that I didn't have to babysit the fire. The Thermostat were spot on, I checked it against my separate Bluetooth thermostat. Ribs came out with just the right amount of smoke and cooked perfectly. I have told all my friends to look into this.
Easy to assemble, easy to use. Does a great job with the smoke and cook.
Much better than the original cover I bought it’s thicker and a little more reinforcing , hopefully it lasts longer 🙏🏼
