Both series are available in standard and WiFi versions, with identical core cooking performance. The main difference lies in cooking surface area. The 1000 Series features foldable side shelves, a pull-out ash drawer (much easier to clean), and is worth the extra cost if you cook for 6+ people. The 700 Series has an ash cap at the bottom (instead of a pull-out drawer), and some models also include double-wall construction for better heat retention. WiFi-enabled 700 models reach a maximum temperature of 500°F.

If you regularly cook for more than 4 people or do large holiday cooks such as whole turkeys or multiple racks of ribs, the 1000 series is worth the extra space.
