Blown Fuse — How to Find and Replace It

It seems there could be a short circuit in one of the digital components, which is causing the issue. Please do a test. If we find a short-circuited component, we’ll send you a replacement part after you confirm. Using an extension cord or a low-quality outlet can also be a cause of tripping the circuit breaker.

Here’s how to check:

  • Start by connecting just the power cord to the controller and turning it on.
  • Next, plug in the Induction Fan, Motor, and Hot Rod one at a time, checking each time to see if the issue happens again — specifically if the GFI trips.
  • After plugging in the fan, open the grill and turn the dial to Smoke.
  • Wait for about 20 seconds to see if the GFI trips. After that, try plugging in the Hot Rod, Motor, and other components one by one.
  • If the GFI trips, we know the issue is with one of the components.

Let us know what happens, and we’ll be happy to assist you with the next steps! (Fuse Size: 120V 4A)

The Ignition Rod is the most common cause of tripping the GFI. You can start by checking the Ignition Rod. Here’s what to do:

  • Disconnect all electronic components from the controller.
  • Only connect the Ignition Rod to the controller and power the grill on.
  • Check if the fuse blows. If it does, the issue is with the Ignition Rod, and it will need to be replaced.
