How to Connect Your Grill to Wi-Fi — Step-by-Step

⚠️ Before starting: confirm your phone is on a 2.4GHz network (not 5GHz), the Z Grills 2.0 App is installed and you are logged in, and the grill is powered on within Bluetooth range (~30 ft).
  • Open the Z Grills App and log in.
  • Tap the "+Add Device" icon to add a new grill. Click "Search For Device."
  • Bluetooth was not turned on beforehand: When prompted, confirm Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. (This prompt does not appear if Bluetooth was already turned on beforehand.)
  • The App will detect your grill via Bluetooth — tap to select it.
  • Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network name and password (case-sensitive).
  • The App sends the credentials to the grill — wait 30–60 seconds.
  • Once connected, the grill appears as "Online" in the App dashboard.
⚠️ If the connection fails, the most common reason is a 5GHz / 2.4GHz network mismatch. See What Wi-Fi Frequency Does Z Grills Use?.
