Let the grill cool completely after the shutdown cycle (wait at least 30 minutes).。
Empty the hopper if the grill sits unused for more than one week.
Do not leave the grill outdoors exposed to rain; cover it with a Z Grills or heavy-duty outdoor cover, and indoor storage is recommended.
Unplug the grill when not in use, and keep the power cord disconnected.
End-of-Season Storage
Run a full clean: ash, grates, drip pan, interior wipe-down.
Empty the hopper completely — wet pellets over winter will jam your auger in spring.
Run a short 15-minute cook at 350°F after cleaning to dry out residual moisture.
Apply a thin coat of cooking oil to interior metal surfaces (grease pan, heat shield, fire pot).
Cover tightly or store in a shed or garage.
Store remaining pellets in a sealed airtight bucket indoors.
