Intermittent Wi-Fi disconnections are usually caused by signal strength, router settings, or network changes. Work through these steps:
- Check signal strength. The grill needs a reasonably strong 2.4GHz signal. If your router is far away or has walls/metal between it and the grill, try using a Wi-Fi range extender.
- Check for network changes. If you changed your Wi-Fi password or replaced your router, the grill will not reconnect automatically. Go through the app setup process again.
- Restart the grill and router. Power cycle both devices and allow 2–3 minutes before checking the connection.
- Disable band steering on your router. Some routers automatically push devices between 2.4GHz and 5GHz, which can disconnect the grill. Disable band steering or split the bands.
- Check your router's connected device limit. Some consumer routers have a cap of 20–30 devices. If you're near the limit, disconnect unused devices.
- Temporarily move the grill next to the router for testing to rule out any distance or wall obstruction issues.
- Turn off nearby Bluetooth devices, microwave ovens, and other strong interference sources to test the connection stability.
