Base
- 2 cans beans
- 2 medium apples
- 4-6 slices thick-cut bacon
Sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup yellow mustard
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste (approx. 1/2 tsp each)
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Stir-fry the base ingredients
Dice the onions and crisp apples, and chop the smoked applewood bacon; Spray with brown butter spray and stir-fry until golden brown and the nutty aroma emerges.
Step 2: Mix sauce
Mix brown sugar, mustard, ketchup, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper.
Step 3: Assemble
Pour the canned navy beans into the base mixture, add the sauce and stir well.
Step 4:Smoke
Smoked at 250°F for 2 hours with Applewood pellets.
