Definitely a good addition, even when it's not cold out. I did a 14-hour brisket and used maybe 2/3 of a hopper. … I was a bit skeptical but am now sold on the blanket as a great feature.

In the 3 weeks I’ve had my Z7002CE I’ve made numerous smokes for salmon, ribs & tenderloin. … The unit works very well and seems to hold temps pretty closely. Due to the cool temps I purchased a blanket & a smoke tube for extra smoke, as well.

Z Grill vs Green Mountain
For some reason, Green Mountain dominates our market in Iowa. I was in Savannah,Ga and learned about the Z grill. I ordered one, put it together, and fired it up and it all went perfectly! Some green Mountain owners looked at it and commented "I am going to get one of these next"! Why not buy your "next" one first and just buy a Z Grill first!!!
